I have read this book and it is a beautiful story. It is one of the most emotional books I have read in a long time. The story line flows smoothly and is an excellent read for any one, man or woman. 5 STARS!Down This Road
I must say that this book pulled me in with the very first couple of pages and then I was lost in a love story so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. I made it half way through the book the first day I started reading it, but then the next day at work I kept thinking about the characters and the story. I couldn't wait to get home and find out how this amazing love story all played out. I was not disappointed. This book definitely makes you feel something and I believe that is truly a sign of a gifted author. This is a must read. It will touch your heart and soul.
The book I purchased at Crocker Farms and it was AMAZING. I loved how Holly worded everything so perfectly. It always kept me in suspense wanting to know what happened next. Hard to put down. You will cry, laugh, cry, laugh and cry some more. It will leave you smiling at the books end. I hope Holly will write more books. She is very creative, unlike a lot of other true story writers. She also doesn't write an entire chapter on what kind of clothes someone in the book was wearing. That part I LOVE LOVE LOVE. All I can say at this point is "BUY THIS BOOK" you won't be sorry. I hope she writes more, I am so ready for anything she will write in the future. Thanks Holly.
I purchased the book for two reasons, firstly I was reared in the nearby area as the author and secondly I wanted an autographed, first edition! However, the book was exceptional beyond my expectations. As soon as the book arrived I could hardly wait to begin reading. Once, I did I didn't want to put the book down. That first evening, I had to force myself to go to bed, so then I took it to work with me and my lunch break just wasn't long enough.I could hardly wait until I could pick it up again. The story is intriguing and the characters seem to come alive as though they are telling their story directly to you.I knew each character in my mind, the clothing they wore, the look on their face...it was as if I really did know them by name. My favorite reading genre is fiction based on facts, and this book certainly did not disappoint me! My sister told me how much she enjoyed the book even though it will bring a tear to your eyes; I knew then I had to have it. Most books I read once and put it on a shelf. This book has not made it to the bookcase, it is on my end table since I'm reading it again. Yes, it is that kind of book, I feel a draw to sit each evening on the deck with a glass of wine and visit again as I walk down the path again; or as in the author's title to walk _Down This Road_. Thanks Holly for sharing this story as your readers look forward to another book.
